Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
Trusted Garage scripts do not set cookies. A service request is stored in this browser only after you submit a form.
Last updated 14 October 2026. This policy describes cookies and similar storage on the Trusted Garage website.
Scripts on this site
The pages load three script files that run in your browser: a layout library, a second layout library, and the site script that runs the menu, the service filter, and the request form. Those scripts do not set cookies. They do not call an analytics product, and they do not set an advertising cookie.
Local storage
The pages do not use local storage for anything except tg-inquiries, and they create that key only after you submit a service request form. Opening a page, scrolling, filtering the services, or expanding a car care note does not write a tracking record. The filter and the accordion run in the page you already loaded. They do not phone home with the word you typed into the search box. If you do not submit a form, the site does not keep a note of the visit, apart from whatever your own browser history keeps for you.
The tg-inquiries value is a list of the requests you saved: name, email, optional phone, service, vehicle, preferred date, subject, and message. You can remove it with the button on the contact page or the service details page, or by clearing site data.
Fonts
Each page includes a link to Google Fonts so the browser can download the typefaces used for headings and body text. Your browser contacts Google for that file. Google may process that request under its own terms. This website does not add a cookie of its own as part of that link. If you block third-party requests, the page still works with your browser’s fallback fonts.
What we do not use
There is no cookie banner that pretends to offer a choice we do not have, because our scripts do not set cookies. There is no advertising network, no embedded video, and no social plugin that would set a cookie from this page. There is no payment cookie, because there is no payment form.
Read this page with the privacy policy. The privacy policy explains the request form. This page explains that the form uses local storage rather than a cookie.
Cookies and browser storage in more detail
This page is the cookie policy for the Trusted Garage website. The short version above is the rule: the site’s own scripts do not set cookies. This longer part explains what that means in the browser, what the site stores instead, what it asks your browser to fetch, and what it deliberately leaves out. The workshop contacts, if you want to ask about this policy, are Összekötő u. 1, 1173 Budapest, Hungary, +36 20 838 2111, and [email protected]. Opening hours, a registration number, and a tax number are not printed here.
What a cookie is, for the purpose of this page
A cookie is a small piece of data a site asks the browser to store and to send back later. Sites use cookies for sign-in sessions, for shopping carts, for remembering a consent choice, and for advertising or measurement. This website does not run a sign-in, does not run a cart, does not run advertising, and does not run a measurement product. Because those features are absent, the scripts have nothing to remember with a cookie. The menu opens and closes in the page. The catalog filter runs in the page. The accordion runs in the page. None of those features needs the browser to return a cookie on the next visit.
You may still see cookies in your browser’s list for other reasons. Your browser may store its own data. An extension may store data. If you followed a link from another site, that other site is not this policy. A font file fetched from Google, described below, is a request to another host, and that host is governed by its own rules. This policy does not promise that a browser extension, a network filter, or a font host is incapable of storing anything. It promises what the Trusted Garage scripts do. They do not set cookies.
The three scripts
Each page loads a small layout library, a second layout library used for the grid and the interactive components, and the site script that runs the navbar, the service catalog, the accordions, and the forms. Those files are part of this website. They execute in your browser after the page loads. They do not contain a call that sets a cookie. They do not contain a call to an analytics host. They do not contain an advertising tag. You can use the site with the scripts enabled and still have no Trusted Garage cookie. If you disable scripts, the text remains readable, and the filter, the accordion, and the form will not run. Disabling scripts is a browser choice. The pages do not require an account in order to be read.
Local storage is not a cookie, and it is still storage
The only data the site script writes on your device is the list of service requests under the local storage key tg-inquiries. Local storage stays in the browser profile and is not sent automatically with every page request the way a cookie is. The script creates the key only when you submit the contact form or the service details form. Opening a page does not create it. Searching the catalog does not create it. Expanding a car care note does not create it. Choosing a service on the short home-page form does not create it. That short form only moves you to the contact page.
The value stored is the text of the requests you submitted: name, email, optional phone, service, vehicle, preferred date, subject, and message, together with the bookkeeping the script needs to list them. Up to twenty requests are kept. The contact page and the service details page draw the list from that key. The button that removes saved requests deletes the key. Clearing site data in the browser deletes it as well. The privacy policy explains the same key from the point of view of personal information. This policy explains it so you do not look for it in the cookie list and conclude that the site set a cookie under another name.
Because local storage is not sent to a Trusted Garage server on each click, the site does not build a server log of your searches from that key. There is no server copy of the key at all. The mailto draft, if you send it, is email, not a cookie. Sending email does not write a cookie. Opening the draft does not write a cookie. If your mail program stores the draft, that storage belongs to the mail program and is outside this policy.
Google Fonts
Pages link to Google Fonts so headings and body text can use the typefaces chosen for the design. Your browser requests those font files from Google. A request of that kind carries the ordinary technical data of an HTTP request. This website does not attach your service-request text to the font request, and it does not set a first-party cookie in order to complete the font link. Google may process the request under Google’s own terms. This policy does not copy those terms and does not claim to control Google’s systems. If you block third-party requests or the font host, the HTML still displays with the browser’s fallback fonts. Blocking fonts is not required in order to avoid a Trusted Garage cookie, because that cookie is not set either way.
What is intentionally absent
There is no cookie banner. A banner would imply that the site sets non-essential cookies and that you can accept or refuse them. Offering that theater would be misleading. There is no advertising network and no retargeting pixel. There is no embedded map that would load another company’s cookies. The address is printed as text so you can read Összekötő u. 1, 1173 Budapest, Hungary, without a map tile request. There is no embedded video. There is no social-media plugin, no share button that calls a social network, and no comment system. There is no payment cookie, because there is no payment form and no checkout. There is no “remember me” cookie, because there is no login.
There is also no consent cookie that remembers a choice about cookies. If you expected a record of a choice, its absence is the point. The choice is made by using or not using the form, and by your browser’s own settings. The site does not store a separate flag that says you agreed to tracking, because it does not track you with cookies.
Browser controls you already have
You can inspect cookies and site data in the browser’s settings. For this website you should not find a cookie set by the site script. You may find local storage after you have submitted a form. You can delete that storage without deleting anything on a server of this website, because the server does not hold the list. You can block third-party cookies in the browser if you want a stricter rule for other sites. That setting does not change the fact that Trusted Garage scripts do not set a cookie of their own. You can use a private window. You can disable scripts if you only want to read. None of these browser features is a Trusted Garage account setting. There is no settings page on the site for cookie preferences, because there is no cookie preference to save.
Forms, mailto, and the network
Submitting a form runs script on the page. The script writes local storage and attempts to open a mailto link to [email protected]. A mailto link is an instruction to the device to open an email program. It is not an HTTP post of the form to a Trusted Garage application server. The page does not send the fields to an analytics endpoint at the same time. It does not fire a conversion pixel. It does not set a cookie to mark you as a lead. If the email program later sends the message, that sending is mail, and any logs kept by mail providers are theirs. The website does not add a tracking parameter to the mailto link for an advertising campaign. The subject and body are the words you entered.
How this policy sits with the other notices
Read the privacy policy for the meaning of the fields and for the warning about shared computers. Read the terms for the rule that a saved request is not an order and not an appointment. Read the disclaimer for the limits on what service text promises. This cookie policy does not change those documents. It only fixes the storage story so it matches the scripts. If a sentence elsewhere on the site ever implied that a cookie banner, an analytics tool, or a payment cookie existed, that sentence would be wrong. The behavior to trust is the one described here and in the privacy policy: no site cookie, local storage only after a request form, fonts requested from Google, and an email draft you send yourself.
This policy is not a warranty, not a price, and not a statement of opening hours. It is not legal advice for every visitor in every country. It is a description of the website’s cookies and similar storage. Questions about it can be sent to [email protected], asked at +36 20 838 2111, or raised in person at the Budapest address. A question sent through the form will be stored and drafted in the way this policy and the privacy policy already describe. Asking about cookies does not cause the site to start setting them.
A few more points about storage
If you are checking this policy against the browser’s own site-data screen, look for two different rows of meaning. Cookies are one list. Local storage, or “site data,” is another. Trusted Garage scripts do not add a cookie. After you submit a service request they do add the key tg-inquiries. Before you submit, a clean profile should show neither a Trusted Garage cookie nor that key. Searching, filtering, and opening accordions should leave that picture unchanged. Loading fonts may cause your browser to contact Google, which is a network request, not a cookie set by this site’s script.
The mailto link does not carry a campaign code, a click identifier, or a cookie value. It carries the subject and the body you typed, addressed to [email protected]. Your mail program may then store a draft or a sent message under its own rules. That mailbox storage is not described as a cookie here and is not cleared by the “Remove saved requests” button. The button clears only the browser key. If you want both copies gone, delete the local list and delete the draft or sent mail in the mail program. The website cannot delete the mail program’s copy.
Questions about this distinction can be asked at +36 20 838 2111, sent to [email protected], or raised at Összekötő u. 1, 1173 Budapest, Hungary. Asking does not switch cookies on. The policy stays accurate only while the scripts stay as described. The date at the top of the page is the date of the text you are reading. Use that text, not a memory of a banner the site never showed.
The rule in one place
Trusted Garage scripts do not set cookies. The only site data they write is the request list tg-inquiries, and only after you submit a request form. Fonts may be fetched from Google. The email draft to [email protected] is mail, not a cookie. Questions about this page can go to that address, to +36 20 838 2111, or to Összekötő u. 1, 1173 Budapest, Hungary. Nothing in this short restatement turns the policy into a banner, a payment cookie, or a tracking program.
